Overview
When purchasing AYO, you may have the option to add a 2-Year Complete Protection Plan at checkout. This plan extends your peace of mind beyond the standard warranty by covering accidental damage and theft - things that a typical warranty does not.
What's Included
The AYO Complete Protection Plan covers:
- Accidental damage - drops, spills, crushing, cracked or broken components
- Theft - if your AYO device is stolen
- Malfunctions - manufacturing defects and hardware failures
How Does This Compare to the Standard AYO Warranty?
AYO's standard warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions only. It does not cover accidental damage or theft.
The duration of the standard warranty depends on your region:
- Europe: 2 years
- Rest of the world: 1 year
The Protection Plan is a separate, complementary layer of coverage - not an extension that stacks on top of the warranty period. Here's how it works in practice:

*Note for customers in Europe: Adding the Protection Plan does not extend your coverage to 4 years. You continue to have your 2-year statutory warranty, and the Protection Plan runs concurrently, adding accidental damage and theft coverage for those same 2 years.
*Note for customers outside Europe: The Protection Plan effectively upgrades your coverage to 2 full years, including accidental damage and theft - compared to the 1-year malfunction-only coverage you would otherwise have.
How to Make a Claim
Accidental Damage
If your AYO device is accidentally damaged, contact our support team at info@goayo.com. You will need to:
- Describe how the damage occurred
- Provide photos of the damaged device
- Provide your order number and proof of Protection Plan purchase
Our team will assess the claim and arrange for a replacement or repair.
Theft
If your AYO device is stolen, you will need to:
- File a police report as soon as possible after the theft occurs
- Contact our support team at info@goayo.com with:
- A copy of the official police report (photograph or scan)
- Your order number and proof of Protection Plan purchase
- A brief description of the circumstances
Claims without a valid police report cannot be processed. We recommend filing the report promptly, as some jurisdictions have time limits for reporting theft.
General Terms
- The Protection Plan must be added at the time of purchase and cannot be added after your order is placed.
- Coverage begins on the date of delivery.
- The plan covers up to 2 replacements in total during the plan period (across all claim types combined). Once 2 replacements have been issued, the plan is considered fulfilled.
- Normal wear and tear and cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality are not covered.
- Loss (a device that has been misplaced or cannot be located) is explicitly not covered. The theft benefit applies only when a valid police report has been filed.
- The plan is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
